One of them, the disciple whom Jesus loved, was reclining next to him. Simon Peter motioned to this disciple and said, “Ask him which one he means.” John 13:23-24 NIV
Recovering slightly from the shock of the news, Peter took some action. Seeing John reclined next to Jesus, and knowing that John was very dear to Jesus, Peter asked John to ask the Lord to reveal the betrayer. Had the other disciples noticed Peter’s interaction with John, or had Peter attempted to conceal it? Again, we do not know.
When Jesus speaks to you do you ask Him questions? Are you seeking clarification, or are you trying to address fears or doubts? Do not be afraid to ask of Christ. He loves you dearly and wants only what is good for you.
