Not A Judge But A Savior

“If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.” John 12:47 NIV

This verse refers back to what Christ had said to Nicodemus in John 3:17. These words are important enough that Christ shared them with those surrounding Him at this time. Christ came to earth to be a Savior to those who would believe in Him. This was the wonderful plan of the Heavenly Father, that through the Son all could be saved and have eternal life, living in the presence of God forever. Christ judges no one, but this does not mean that no one shall be judged. We all must face judgement day, but it is not the Savior who shall be the judge of each of us. It is our actions. Have we accepted the gracious gift from the Father. Have we lived according to His will? Yes, our actions shall be our judge.
