Lord God,

It has been a while since I have experienced breakthrough in my life,

And I feel stuck in my current situation,

No matter how hard I try,

I can’t seem to move anywhere,

I can’t alter my current circumstances,

And I am waiting for you to show me the way through,

Lord, I lift up to you my frustrations and fears,

Although it may feel like I will be stuck in this waiting period forever,

I pray that you would turn my eyes from my present circumstances,

And lift my focus up to you,

I pray that in my limited understanding of my situation,

Please help me to keep trusting in your infinite wisdom,

Remind me of your love and goodness,

And that no waiting period in my life is meaningless in your grand plan,

Please grant me your peace,

And help me to keep resting in your sovereignty,

Yet Lord, as I wait for breakthrough in my life,

I pray that you would help me not to waste the moments I have now,

By being distracted by my fears for the future,

But please help me to remain focussed on how I can be glorifying you in the present,

I pray that you would help me to humbly learn the lessons you want me to learn,

And help me not to give up doing good whenever I can,

As I wait, I pray that you would help me to remain firm in my faith in you,

As I continue to draw close to you each day,

And seek to grow in holiness,

Knowing that you are faithful and you will get me through this season.
