Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling

Did you know that Sodom and Gomorrah as mentioned in Gen 13:10 was one of the most fertile lands which was even compared with the garden of the Lord and Lot (Abraham’s nephew) chose to move there, yet the intense immorality of that place invoked the wrath and judgement of the Lord and the Lord destroyed it by raining brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah. Today this land is submerged under the Dead Sea and is a public spectacle as an example of an infertile ground on which no plants, fish, or any other visible life can survive.

The ever enhancing splendor of a fruit can only be had if the branch fully abides in the tree which is deeply rooted on the most fertile ground.

We Christians are called to this :

“Serve the Lord with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.”

Psalm 2:11 (NKJV)

We need to reverentially serve the Lord and all our rejoicing and celebrations has to be with trembling-let nothing profane be ever seen or heard in our life and may God be able to rejoice in our rejoicings and celebrate in our celebrations and then we shall continue in the blessedness in which God has placed us.
