In Honor Of Jesus

Here a dinner was given in Jesus’ honor. Martha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him. John 12:2 NIV

And why not have a dinner in honor of Jesus, for He had raised Lazarus from the dead. The man who was raised to life reclined at table with the Lord. Martha of course was doing her thing being the server at the meal. And what about Mary? We shall see what she was doing in the following verse.

How much of your time in prayer is spent honoring the Father and the Son? Absolutely every thing good that you have was given to you by the Lord, so is it not right that you honor Him? We can be quick to go to the Lord with our needs, but we must go to Him to praise the Father and the Son for who they are, regardless of the amount which they have provided for us. Christ knows what you truly need, and He will provide according to your true need.
