But the chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that anyone who found out where Jesus was should report it so that they might arrest him. John 11:57 NIV
The plan to take Jesus’ life included an order issued by the Pharisees that anyone who knew of the whereabouts of Jesus must report it that He might be arrested. I am quite sure that Jesus was aware of this fact and thus the movement of Jesus and His disciples was limited. The time for His suffering was approaching, but had not yet come. There were still some things which needed to be accomplished before it came time for Him to suffer and die.
