Who Is Reigning In You?

For as it’s either light or darkness that occupies the atmosphere at a particular given time, our hearts and lives too are occupied – either by the Lord or by the devil.

“Jesus asked him, saying, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion,” because many demons had entered him.”

Luke 8:30 (NKJV)

When Jesus met the person possessed by the devil, the above is the response he gave to Jesus.

We know the pathetic condition the man was in, just for the very reason for allowing the devil to take control of his life and ruin it.

God has been constantly knocking at the door of our heart, seeking our permission to bless us.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. “Revelation 3:20 (NKJV)

Many have opened their hearts to God and as He is always true to His promises, He comes to give life and life in abundance and all such have experienced this blessed new life in Christ.

John boldly proclaims this as the condition of every believer..

“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4 (NKJV)

Yes! The devil who is playing around in this world is no match to our God Who dwells in us (provided we have opened our hearts to Him).

It’s all a matter of choice – Who do we allow to take control of our lives.

The devil’s main interest is to disassociate us from the Lord God, similar to disconnecting the branches from the vine and make them fruitless and let them dry off and die.

Remember…,

• “We are more than conquerors in and through Jesus Christ alone.”


• “Jesus Christ is the only true Shepherd”


• “He alone is the source of true joy and peace.”

So today, let’s check our hearts – “Who is reigning in our lives?”

Let Christ be our King,

And may our hearts be yielded to Him alone,

He will lead us triumphantly always,

When in our lives He establishes His throne.
