Be The True Shepherd That God Wants You To Be

 

Take care of my sheep, take care of my lambs,

Tend my sheep, O this was the command,

Yet now we have Shepherds who would prefer to see,

How they can adjust to the congregational demand

 

A true voice to be heard, from the throne of God

Is what is the need of this pitiful hour,

Not a display of beautiful words and skillful speech,

Lacking Godliness, faith and power

 

This is a position of great responsibility,

For entrusted to you is God’s precious one’s

A Father to them you have to be,

And treat them as your daughters and sons

 

While in eternity you’ll be held accountable,

For all whom the Lord entrusted to your care,

Be the true Shepherd that God wants you to be

Eternity in Christ-lead the entrusted towards there.
