When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” John 11:43 NIV

Jesus took action immediately after speaking to the Father. Now, in the other two raisings of people from the dead, Jesus was by the lifeless body. Why did Jesus not enter the tomb and take Lazarus by the hand and lead him out? Why did He call out from outside the tomb in a loud voice? He wanted no doubt left that the power of the Almighty was being displayed through His action. In speaking out in a loud voice, no one would be able to dispute what He said. His words were a command to the man who had laid lifeless within the tomb.

Jesus says come out to us today. He tells us to come out of our lifeless, spiritless life of living in sin and turn to Him that we might be saved through Him and have eternal life. When did you hear that command from Jesus to come out? What a wonderful moment that must have been for you!
