Jesus wanted involvement from those present. With a word Jesus could have moved the stone away Himself, but He wanted others involved in this miracle He would do, even if their part was minutely small. I am sure He also tested those present in making this command.
Don’t be surprised when the Lord asks you to do something that will be part of a miracle which happens before you. God can do miracles without our assistance, but often He wants us to have a small part in their occurrence. Don’t hesitate in doing that which the Lord asks of you. There is a purpose for all which He asks of you.
