Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26 NIV

In Christ, we are assured an eternity with the Father and the Son. Although our human body shall perish, we shall be raised again, given a heavenly body that shall live forever.

But what about the here and now you say?

Christ tells us He is the resurrection, not that He will be the resurrection. So, what does that mean to us? It means now, and right now, we live, but not as those of this world live. We live in the truth. We live with our spirit open to all the Truth which God offers to us. We live truly alive, alive well beyond that of our human body. Our heart and soul are no longer dead to the lies and deceit of this world. We live alive in the spirit with the Holy Spirit indwelling us. No one who is apart from Christ can know the wholeness of spiritual life, and that is because Christ, and He alone is the resurrection.
