Morning encounters holy presence

"Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went to a solitary place, where He prayed." Mark 1:35

My daily practice has been to follow what Jesus modeled; rising early, in a darkened, quiet, nurturing relationship with Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Solitude, in the union of holy presence, fills me with renewal and spiritual vigor.

I have discovered my days flow smoother in maintaining this habit, which has become my most important spiritual discipline. Out of divine fullness, life is imparted, and I obtain the Spirit of ability to guide, direct, and grant wisdom.

What more can I desire than this sweet union with my God?

Longingly basking in holy presence returns to me; inner joy, contentment, and peace. This sustained peace results from these sacred spaces where I am joined in communion with the Holy One whose love anoints my being.

It becomes vital in creating spaces in my days to be alone with God, intentional, and purpose.

The highest calling upon my life is to be in this close relationship with the triune Godhead. These early morning encounters birth spiritual fruits and divine potential. The fresh flowing fragrance of pure love saturates my being as resurrected life is poured into the tattered frame of my humanness, again and again, and again.

Letting go of knowledge. Letting go of arrogance. Letting go of selfishness. Letting go of wanting. Letting go of desiring. Letting go of harboring wrong attitudes.

Letting go of all that is within my flesh, willingly opening to the Holy Spirit to move and have Father's desire in my heart is surrendering, moment by moment.

My human ways fail, falter, and miss the boat in appropriating this life of Christ, this love of Father, and this Holy Spirit lifestyle I am called to live from.

God becomes the sacred resting place where my life is intertwined with the holies of holies during these early morning hours. This union life becomes deeply embedded in my mind, body, and soul. In all the moments, hours, and activities of my day, I live from the bountiful heart of the Holy Spirit from the beginning to the close.

This union being-spirit-life intimately draws me closer, deeper, and broader into the places where the unreserved and unlimited well of grace, mercy, and love exist.
