Not To End With Death

When he heard this, Jesus said, "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it." John 11:4 NIV

To whom were these words of Jesus spoken? Almost assuredly they are spoken in the presence of the disciples and probably also for the messengers who came to let the Lord know about the state of Lazarus. There may also have been others present.

Jesus knew what was forthcoming. He knew He would raise Lazarus from death.

Through Christ, souls which have been dead are raised to a state in which God can speak to the Spirit of man through the Holy Spirit. Jesus will also raise our mortal bodies from the greave at the appointed time.
