Surly but surly, the tides will shift
and the winds will cease to blow
These words we can say, and it's no lie
for in our hearts this we do know

It's not what the troubled waters did say
God has captured them in each hand
And it mattered not how long they had ran
for what God says it will stand

Through the longest nights and longest days
and they may did seem to overflow
But there comes a time when they must end
and then God's power He will show

He knew the trip ahead O' precious ships
saw the day when each one went out
How could He not known, If He was there with thee
while you were on your route

He will always keep his promise
not a one will He take back
So look up O' ships for your time is here
for God's word it is never slack
