Lord God,

My journey with you is like one big rollercoaster,

One moment, I feel like my faith is soaring through the clouds,

The next moment, I am doubting everything I believe about you,

Sometimes I question if you are even there listening,

Or whether you could really care about someone so insignificant as me,

But I thank you Lord that my hope in you is not based on mere wishful thinking,

Or some clever theory that someone has invented,

But I thank you that my hope is based in a real historical fact,

That Jesus rose from the dead and proclaimed his victory over sin and death,

And this fact gives us certainty,

That we too will one day be raised with new bodies that will never perish,

I can have faith in you because you are faithful,

And the past is full of countless examples of your trustworthiness,

Both in the lives of the characters of the Bible,

And throughout our lives as well,

So when I begin to doubt your goodness Lord,

Remind me of your character as revealed in your Word,

Remind me that not one of your promises to your people has ever failed,

And for the countless times that you have come through for me in the past,

When I feel like my faith is falling apart,

Give me the strength to keep trusting you,

And remind me that I am never alone in my doubts,

But that I am also surrounded by other brothers and sisters in Christ,

Who have faced similar struggles of faith,

And whom I can turn to for support and counsel,

As I continue to struggle with doubt throughout life,

Please help me not to become discouraged and lose hope,

But I pray these would be opportunities to draw closer to you and grow stronger in faith,

As I continue to remain grounded in the truths of your Word.
