I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. John 10;16 NIV
Who are the other sheep of whom Jesus speaks? His discourse here is to the Pharisees, who of course are Jews. They had scornfully earlier asked if Jesus might go to the areas of the Gentiles to preach. Yes, the Gentiles are who Jesus speaks of here. Jesus had come to His own, the Jews, but most of them rejected Him. The Father’s plan is that all who believe in the Son shall be saved.
Under the headship of Jesus there is one flock, all those who belong to Jesus regardless of ethnic background. God is impartial and all who come to the Son shall receive salvation through Him.
