Lord, I desire to bring honor and glory to your name, and because of that, I believe the events taking place in our country over the next weeks and months will be according to your perfect will for America. I will not remanin idle in my prayer. I will remain steadfast in my trust that you hear our prayers for justice and righteousness to prevail. 

I pray Christians will never forget their first mission is to love you, and to make disciples of all nations. Let that resonate in our hearts as we are surrounded on all sides with evil people who hate you. You said. "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.” John 15:18

You felt evil when you walked the earth, Lord, and now that we are in such close proximity to that same evil as it manifests itself in these post-election crises, we understand more fully of what you endured for our sake. You never took your eyes off the will of the Father.

It is hard for us to look at evil and remain still. It is hard to see people lie, and cheat, and steal, all for the love of power. Father I ask you to humble our hearts, and look to you as our perfect example of how to respond to hate.

I pray for those who mock you and defy you. I pray you will bring them to their knees in repentance. I pray you will show them you are the Way, the Truth, and the Life. I pray you will change their hearts, and they could become a voice of truth to those in their sphere of influence.

Father, hear our cry for mercy. Please encourage us. We need your help and guidance to navigate through these treacherous times.

Some day we will all stand before you to give an account of what we did with the life you gave us.

We commit our words, attitudes, actions, and goals to you right now. Help us be the people you called us to be. Let our lives reflect the presence of Christ within us.

Thank you Jesus, in your name we pray, amen.
