Poetry
I ran so far, farther than most, but the everlasting arms of God reached farther than I could ever run, and embraced me there. I sank so deep, deeper than most, but the everlasting arms of God reached deeper down into the darkness than I could ever sink, and embraced me there again.
Because of all the damage I inflicted in my running and falling and sinking, I am more indebted now to the One who rescued me, and more energized and motivated in my immense gratitude toward Him than I would otherwise have been.
I am learning to explode out of communion with Him now into decisive action on His behalf. The victories that evil won formerly in my life it lost even as it was winning them. Those losses were only setting me up for greater gains to come.
The wiley one was undone and outdone in his own wiles. The crafty one was outcrafted through his own craftiness.
