“Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind. If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.” John 9:32-33 NIV

What I really like about this man is his refusal to back down from the surrounding Pharisees. He had had insults hurled at him. Many would have cringed and cowered at this, but not this man. He knew that there was something very special about the man who had healed him, and since the Pharisees had questioned him a second time about the healing, he was not going to back down from sharing what he believed in his heart.

Healing a man born blind had never been heard of before. If a man could perform such a task and not be from God, then where did he gain his powers? Was it trickery? Was the healer seeking fame and glory for himself? Was he seeking lavish rewards? Christ sought none of this for Himself. What was becoming very evident to this man was a fact which the Pharisees would not accept. Jesus is not just from God. He is God, the Son. Live in this Truth!
