Listen To Sinners

We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will. John 9:31 NIV

Certainly, the Pharisees could agree with what the man says here. The problem was that these Jewish leaders could not see nor chose to recognize their own sinfulness.

So, does God not listen to sinners? He does not listen to those who choose to live enslaved to their sin, not recognizing their need for a Savior, someone to pay the ransom for them which they could not pay themselves. But God does listen to the sinner who realizes the need for a Savior and comes to the Lord seeking for a changed life. A repentant, remorseful heart is what is required to approach the Lord, seeking salvation. That is how freedom from enslavement to sin is had and there is no other way it can be had than through Jesus Christ.
