And Now I See

He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!” John 9:25 NIV

The former blind man certainly spoke truth here. He was not aware as to who Jesus was, not knowing that He was the Son of God. Yet, unlike the Jewish leaders He did not condemn Jesus, referring to Him as being  a sinner. He stated the truth in that he had been blind but now was able to see.

His words were so simple and true, yet they were not what the Jewish leaders wished to hear. His response here provided them with no further insight in order to deliver an answer acceptable to them.

No matter how effective we might be in sharing the Good News, there will be many who will never accept the Truth. We cannot let this deter us from sharing with others though. Our job is to share the Word and allow God to work on the heart.
