Works During The Day

As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. John 9:4 NIV

Night time was time for reflection upon work done that day, work forthcoming, time for Christ to be with His disciples alone, or time for prayer. This does not truly mean that no work can be done in the evening, but that it is better accomplished during the day when the body is more refreshed and the need is more present. At night people returned to their homes so less of a presence of crowds with needs.

Christ includes the disciples in His work as He uses the word in doing the works of the Father. Do you know that Christ includes you, His follower in doing the works of the Father? Follow in the Lord’s steps doing the work of the One who sent Him.
