Then You Shall Have Proof

So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me.” John 8:28 NIV

This verse first speaks of the current ignorance as to who Christ is, but after He has been lifted up, died, and been raised from the dead, they shall have proof to what He is currently conveying to them. Of course, the Pharisees and the Jewish leaders will not accept the proof which is to be revealed but that takes nothing away from the glory in its occurrence.

And here again Jesus speaks of His doing as He has been directed by the Father. Jesus always is in union with the Father. Let us give our lives and our hearts to Christ and share the message with others just as He did.

Yes; He and the Father are ONE and He was in perfect submission to the Father... the perfect sacrifice for our sins.
