Mixed Thoughts Of The People

Among the crowds there was widespread whispering about him. Some said, “He is a good man.” Others replied, “No, he deceives the people.” But no one would say anything publicly about him for fear of the leaders. John 7:12-13 NIV

Notice here that the image the people had of Christ was mixed. Some thought of Him as a good man. Those who did not were more than likely influenced by the speaking of the Jewish leaders about Him. No matter what their feelings though, they were not expressed openly as there was fear of the Jewish leaders.

As we share of Christ in today’s world we must not let fear keep us from that which we have been called to do. The world is in dire need of knowing the Truth, and the only Truth is that which is about Jesus Christ. Share the Good News with others!
