Yes He Is King

After the people saw the sign Jesus performed, they began to say, “Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.” Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself. John 6:14-15 NIV

They wanted to take Jesus by force to make Him king. Jesus was already and is a king. These people were looking for a king who would help them to conquer, to rid them of their enemies, to return to Israel that which had been promised to their ancestors. But that is not the type of king that is our Lord, Our Lord definitely is a king who conquers. Jesus conquered death. What earthly king can claim that? Jesus overcame sin. He overcame for us the price required for sin, the shedding of innocent blood. Jesus is king in that He has the authority to judge. He will let the deeds of everyone be judge for each self. Yes, Jesus is king, He is your King. He is your Savior and Lord!
