When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?” John 6:5 NIV

Look at the Lord’s question here. It says nothing of the amount required, though I think we can imply that the Lord meant enough to feed all these people. His question was where would the bread be purchased. He wanted Phillip and those who could hear the question to realize that there was no earthly way in which for all the people to eat. Divine intervention was needed.

Do you have times where Christ has let you know that on your own you have not the resources needed to handle a situation? Do you then realize that it is only through the Lord that you can take care of the situation?

The Lord wants us to believe and know that we need Him in our lives. Without Him we are spiritually bankrupt. Read God’s word daily. Know that the Lord is with you and will provide for your need!
