Where are your heart and soul? Are they in the light, reflecting the true Light, that others might see God working in and through you for His glory? Or are your heart and soul lurking in the darkness, seeing the lustful desires offered by this world, seeking only the desires of me, myself and I?

Christ has told us that we must lose our life in order to save it. One cannot serve Christ if the focus is on self. Empty yourself of self that you may be filled with Christ!
