Forever With God

How glorious the day will be,

When we enter the presence of the Lord for all to see,

When our sorrows and pains are washed away,

And we will never be sad for another day,

For the day will come when this present world will die,

We’ll enter a new heaven and earth where there will be no more tears to cry,

We will soon be with God in a place that never grows old,

A place where there are eternal treasures to hold,

A place where there is no sin or pain or despair,

A place where everyone is eternally under the Lord’s care,

We can only wonder at what God has in store,

For we are God’s children, he will provide for us forever more,

Soon we will enter a place of unimaginable peace,

Where all of our problems will forever be at ease,

We will be with the Lord, we will celebrate and praise,

For it was Jesus Christ our saviour, from the grave he did raise,

We will praise, sing and dance and shine in his light,

We will live in his kingdom so magnificent and bright,

But for now we sometimes feel as though this hope is too far away,

And the troubles seem endless, overwhelming us each day,

We need God to guide us and keep our eyes on his way,

We need his godly wisdom and strength, we shall pray,

For he sees all our suffering, the times that we fall,

Even on the coldest nights he hears when we call,

So do not be upset when you are thinking that God cannot hear,

For he is watching over us, there is nothing to fear,

The Lord knows all the troubles and temptations we face,

And he saves us through his amazing grace,

So let us rejoice in the name of the Lord,

Our Father, loving and holy, the one true God,

For God is mighty, there is nobody he cannot save,

Every one of our sins, at Christ’s death he forgave,

He wants us to know him and to follow his will,

As our hearts and minds his Spirit does fill,

So do not despair for the time will soon be here,

When God will wipe away our sorrows, every tear,

We will ever be before him in worship and awe,

And with the Lord shall we be joyful forevermore.
