Healthy Living
I can see why so many people have pets and love them. Pets, especially dogs, are so centered on their owners, following their every move, responding to every expression. It may sound silly, but it gives me a glimpse into how Jesus Christ can be so centered on caring for those that are His and in love with Him, and also how we can be more attentive and attuned to Him. In fact the more centered we are upon Christ and upon the needs of those He brings across our paths and into our lives, the more Christ can center on our needs and wants. But if we are self-centered it is our way of making a statement to Him that we don't need or want Him to be centered on us. We're saying by that that we think we can take care of ourselves after all, thank you very much. So like the gentleman that He is, never wanting to force Himself on us, He steps back and allows us to proceed and go our own ways though it must break his ❤ heart, because He knows it will eventually break ours.

One time I wrote a devotional about all the plastic grocery bags people keep in their house, how we stuff plastic bags into more plastic bags etc. and end up with a ridiculous amount of bags. I used this image to create a parable of sorts - so I completely get your idea!
My only comment is t perhaps break the one paragraph onto a bout 2-3 smaller paragraphs to make it read easier.
