We have this treasure in earthen vessels. ( 2 Corinthians 4 v7) We are to focus on the glory of the treasure not the earthenness of the vessel. We are to focus on the perfection of the CONTENTS of the vessel, not the imperfections of the vessel that holds those contents. The frail and fallen nature of the vessel is only for purposes of contrast with the eternal nature of the treasured contents.
