Have you seen the latest pictures of my grandchildren?

Do you answer to grandmother or grandfather, grandma or grandpa, granny or grand daddy, nana or papa?

Maybe you decided on a less common handle.

If you’re a grandparent, you're among the fortunate.

I have been blessed to live long enough to cuddle great-granddaughters Zoey and Olivia. I anticipated the birth of their daddy, Matthew. Our daughter April was in labor and our son-in-law Joe was with her at the hospital. While waiting for the important phone call, I tried to keep their first child Justin occupied. That was over 26 years ago; Justin was a toddler.

To this day, I remember our singing and hand motions of ‘Wheels on the Bus.’

“The wheels on the bus go round and round”…

I believe in grand parenting with gratitude.

It’s for grandfathers; grandmothers too!

“Grandchildren are the crown of old men,
And the glory of sons is their fathers (Proverbs 17:6 NASB).”

Grand parenting is a privilege and responsibility.

“Only give heed to yourself and keep your soul diligently, so that you do not forget the things which your eyes have seen and they do not depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your sons and your grandsons (Deuteronomy 4:9 NASB).”
