Life is not always easy, sometimes I stumble and fall,

Sometimes it feels as though joy has deserted me more and more,

Why does life sometimes cause me pain and sorrow?

Why does disaster feel like there is no tomorrow?

Is there an end to the difficult trials?

Feeling as though peace is far away by thousands of miles,

I cry out to God for mercy and the guidance to do right,

But sometimes it feels as though he is out of my sight,

If only I would know the comfort that God is with me,

Letting my life be lead in the hands of he,

So that I may walk with Christ in my journey of faith,

And may walk through the perils feeling sound and safe,

For God is with me through the good times and the bad,

He knows how I worry, become stressed, become sad,

But the world is in his hands and he is in control,

He knows how to heal me and make me become whole,

For in him is only light, he leads to all things true,

He is working his plan out in my life, there is nothing he can’t do,

For I am only a human, what can I understand or know?

I cannot see everything above me, or everything below,

I need to leave my troubles in God’s hands,

Knowing that he is always in command,

For it is God we need to seek when we are despaired,

By his faithful work in us, our brokenness will be repaired.
