Lots of people are talking, but not saying much
So many books these days with too many pages
Definitions derived from marketing and such
Selling $#!t in pretty buckets yields poor wages

The meat on my plate is shrinking today
The people all around me think that is OK
Lots of shiny packages but no content
Society driven by our own consumption

Work all day to please some fat cat aristocrat
Wisest of men have fallen up this corporate latter
Easy to do evil when you do not have the sense
Wise, who can not smell the blood on distant fronts

Lots of wars are fought now, for numbers on a page
Take away my modern day convenience
Learning to live without these cherries on top
Simply because it will help the poisoning to stop

Sickening when you realize this is all you
Change will come, because it has too
