Satan hurt my feelings last night
And I immediately lost sight
Of what was really going on;
Satan was trying to provoke me to do what was wrong.
I shed a few tears
And faced a few fears,
But never once did I doubt
That God was there to bring me out.
I was still a little burdened when I rose out of my bed,
But never a mumbling word I said
To let him know that I was in pain
Because his only desire was for me to entertain
His efforts to make me do what was wrong
Because if I rebuke him, he will move right along.
I will resist the devil, and he will flee
Because he will realize that he has no control over me.
