Encouragement

I’ve done things that I know were wrong,
But in spite of my sin, God kept me going strong.
I’ve been down as low as anyone can go,
But somehow God always seems to let me know
That He loves me in spit of my sin,
And is willing and able to take me in.
I’ve hurt people, sometimes in the worst way,
But God always has enough grace to allow me another day;
A new opportunity to get back on the right track
And to acknowledge that He still has my back.
In spite of my faults, failures and sin,
God continues to love me and takes me back in.
I fell guilty because I know I don’t deserve His love, mercy and grace;
For, I realize I’m unworthy of what He provides me with on this Christian race.
Although unworthy, I can’t help but be thankful of His love,
And the grace He showers upon me daily from the heavens above.
I realize that on this earth, I cannot be totally free from sin,
But I find hope in knowing that God loves me enough to continue taking me in.
