Person 1  sits and begins intently compiling a list,  pausing to reflect between frantic bouts of writing. 
Person 2 approaches observes with interest for a moment and then inquires,  "What are you writing? "
P1  Oh,  hi,  I'm only preparing for my special day.
P2.  You mean,  your birthday? 
P1  -chuckling-  Oh,  no,  you know,  the special day and special hour that comes for each of us once a year. 
P2  Not sure  I know what you mean. 
P1  I thought all of us did this.  I'm finishing my annual list of praise reports,  thanksgivings, confessions,  and prayer requests that my selected spiritual person of the year will bring before the Lord for one precious hour on my behalf. I have chosen deacon Bridges to go for me this year,  because we all know how busy Pastor is lately. 
P2. I don't believe what I'm hearing. You mean you don't know about the torn curtain?
P1  What torn curtain? 
P2  The one that separates us from the Holy of Holies. The one that was torn from top to bottom as Christ died on the cross? 
P1  Well,  yes,  but what's that got to do with it?
P2 It's got everything to do with it.  You and I can go right into God's most intimate presence ourselves.  You can go on your own behalf. 
P1  On my special day you mean?
P2. No, I mean right now today or any day you want.  Every day is your special day.  And any hour of any day you want. 
P1. But how can that be? 
P2  Through the blood of Jesus Christ that's how,  we can enter the Most Holy Place ourselves. I can show you where it says so in your Bible. 
P1  No spiritual representative, no priest? 
P2  That was the way before Christ.  You are the spiritual person now.  YOU are the priest.  It's the new and living way. 
P1  Me spiritual? Me a priest?
P2  Yep. You and me too.  In fact,  there's no reason why you and I can't go into the Fathers intimate presence together right now,  right this moment.  Come on..... would you like to? 
P1  Now? Here? Are you sure about this?   -tentatively -
P2  Sure as I can be.... -falling to one knee-
       Father,  here we are,  my friend and I come before you in the name of your Son Jesus.... 
P1  -slowly kneeling -  yes,  in your name Jesus.... and through Your blood  we enter .....
