Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. John 3:5 NIV
Being born of water is the ceremony of baptism. It is an outward sign, a commitment on the part of someone that they wish to belong to Christ. To be born of the Spirit is the receiving of the Holy Spirit to indwell someone. This only is received by one who turns His will and life to Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is sent to one as this to guide them in the ways of the Lord. The world attempts to lure one into earthly desires, but this is not that which the Lord seeks for His sheep. The Holy Spirit guides the thoughts and actions of one who belongs to the Lord.
Have you been born again, born in water and the Spirit? Belong to the Lord. See the kingdom of God!
