Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night John 3:1-2a NIV
Herein we meet a man who, although he was a member of the Jewish ruling council, was quite different from almost all of them. This man, Nicodemus appeared to be searching for the Truth, and believed that Jesus might have the answer that he sought.
Notice that Nicodemus came to Jesus at night. Most believe he did so for fear of being caught by his council members associating with Jesus. I wish to look at it differently. I believe he wanted, if possible, to have some uninterrupted time with Jesus that he might be enlightened by Him.
When you have time alone with Jesus, do you attempt to make it an area where you will not be disturbed nor interrupted? That you should do as this is a very important part to your day. There is no better time than time spent with the Lord.

Excellent alternative thought, especially as it was Nicodemus who questioned the Sanhedrin's plotting of the best way to bring about the death of Jesus without discussing the legal reasons to do so first: "Does our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he does? In this sense, he interceded for one he respected.
