And Jesus Said (My Daily Devotion) Day One

Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him. (Matthew 3:13-15, KJV).

It can't get any more official than what we have in the above text; the words are from on high. My dad would say it this way; I got it from the horse's mouth, which is to say, from the author. Jesus, himself, said it. Jesus stated in the above verse that our righteousness is fulfilled in him.

In Hebrews chapter twelve and verse two, it says, looking to Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our faith. Your faith is your life, and everything God has done appears to you as you become persuaded of what he has done for you.

Jesus was righteous before coming to the earth and did not need righteousness. Everything he did was for you and me. Every act of obedience he committed, God, put to our account, and all we need to do is receive it.

You will be no freer from sin than you are right now. Every act that Jesus put forth while on the planet earth, God put to our account. We are the righteousness of God, and God sees you and me no other way. God doesn't see you as a sinner but as his righteous child. God made to be the sin that we may become his righteousness. Receive the good news today, as you acknowledge all that God has done on your behalf. You are acquitted of all wrongdoing and set free from the power of sin.

For he hath made him be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (2 Corinthians 5:21).
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: (Colossians 2:9-10).

Shout it from the mountain, hill, and valley, I am free for he who the Son sets free is free in his deeds. You are the liberated child of God. God set you free to never be bound again. You are complete from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet.

In him dwells all the fulness of God bodily and his fullness is your fullness. Right now the body that the son of God occupies lacks nothing and neither should ours because we are bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. We are complete in him and nothing is missing.
