Just as Jesus offered an invitation to the two disciples of John the Baptist that followed after Him, so Christ has an invitation to any open heart to “Come and see.” Following after Christ is not a task to be taken lightly. There will be suffering and persecution, rejection, and the picking up and carrying of one’s cross. That which is received from Christ though far exceeds that which is required of us. Christ’s offering is made available to all, yet very few will choose to accept His offer. Too much is required is the reason. To follow Christ, you must totally follow Him, not just when it seems convenient or appropriate. There truly is no good reason to not follow Christ. So, come and see!
