"Teach me your ways, Oh Lord, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, that I may honor you. With all my heart, I will praise you, Oh, Lord, my God. I will give glory to your name forever." Psalm 86:11-12
Scriptures provide us light into the ways of our Lord and the way to obtaining the abundant life the bible writes about. Scriptural abundance in biblical terms is the inner depth of richness the life of Christ bestows, infuses, and imparts into us.
Once we believe upon Jesus Christ as a reality as the Son of God, we receive this fullness, and we accepted the overflowing treasures of this life in our life. We are then bound in a new way of being that flows directly from our personal relationship with Jesus.
To grow in our understanding of how we are to live this faith, it becomes necessary for us to be teachable. Teachability requires a certain openness and willingness to both receive and accept truth from the Spirit-life who has now become our source of life.
Teachable means I am stilling my inner realm in learning to discern and develop a sensitivity to the Lord's voice who is speaking, leading, guiding and instructing me in the way to go and in this new way of being.
Teachable means my beliefs will be devloped from this inner spirit who transforms my thoughts, my will, my choices, my decisions, and enters into my relationships as my holy responses and way of being in living this life.
Teachable means I am no longer my own, nor do I live according to how the world dictates that I must, but instead I am abiding in this Spirit-life ------ intricately, nearly and pressing more in-depth into the abundant and unlimited grace!
Teachable means I am consistently moving forward in growing, and I am frequently posturing myself to receive and accept the living Christ into my daily tasks in how I am treating others and how I am responding to others in my world.
Teachable means I don't have my mind made up in how God will answer prayers or how He will act in another's life.
Teachable means I am steadily relying on His Spirit to lighten my way. I am allowing Christ to shine His truth and His desires for me to be intimately interconnected in and with His life as my life.
Teachable means what I know now will alter, become modified, and become transformed as I experience more profound levels of intimacy with Father.
Teachable means the beliefs I have now are not ones set in stone, but that my thoughts and mind (will) remain in an attitude of openness as Christ in me is forming His traits, His image, and transforming my heart into God's heart.
As I grow in my understanding of this new way of being, what I believe will expand in depth, width, and height as I incorporate new levels of truth and as Christ's life matures me spiritually birthing forth a bounty of His fruits.
Teachable means I am positioning my attitude daily in an attentive, listening, hearing, seeing mode to receive and accept new instructions, new insights, and new revelations from the life of Christ -- whose life is a constant flowing stream of life that becomes my way, my truth, and my life within my entire being; inside and out.
Teachable means I am allowing Christ to foster, nurture, and cultivate His image to be the stamped image being written upon the soft malleability of my pliable heart.
Scriptures offer us so much more than we can imagine as we pray for wisdom, gleam spiritual truths, and discover strength rises up from the living word whose name is Jesus, whose life is tightly intertwined in ours.
Pray for a teachable spirit and an attitude that remains open for the Lord to enlighten and awaken the pearls and gems of the spiritual richness and never-ending depth of His mysterious ways within you.
The Godhead of love has chosen human vessels to show forth and manifest His desired glory upon the earth.
"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!" 1 John 3:1
And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. We have received the full inheritance of His kingdom ways and in this inheritance, we have been supplied with the sufficiency of the life of Christ!
Jesus Christ modeled an attitude of opennes and willingness Himself to the teachings and desires of His Father's will while on earth!
Since we have received the full supply of the life of Christ in us, we have received His teachable and open Spirt.
We must learn to live from His life supplied teachable spirit in us as the source of truth, life and love today!
