When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons. Mark 16:9 NIV
Here we are told that the first one to see the resurrected Jesus Christ was Mary Magdalene. In John 20 we see that Mary at first mistook Christ to be the gardener of the area. Not until Jesus lovingly called out her name did she know that she truly was seeing the resurrected Lord.
What a true love Mary had for our Lord, and why not? She had seven demons cast out of her by the Lord. What must she have been like prior to Him expelling the demons? Her life was taken from terror to pure joy at the hands of our Lord.
Do you allow the Lord to work in your life? Do you totally trust Him, knowing that He will do that which is best for you? If you want what is best, give yourself totally to the Lord. Trust always in Him!
