When the tides of life come rushing in
and try to drown you down in sorrows
Just run to God where safety lies
He will help you to face your tomorrows

Know that He is waiting patiently
to wipe your tear stain eyes
For that is what kind of God He is
who can restore broken lives

Though the winds may cause troubled waters
that come rushing in at times
But grab a hold of his out reached hands
and He'll bring peace to your minds

His shelter is a place of peace and comfort
where hearts can run when afraid
And whatever went wrong He can make it right
for on the cross the debt was paid

Though the lighting may clash and billows roar
it's ok, for He has it, in control
And you need not worry about going down
for in his hands your life He holds

Yes life does present a many afflictions
and not all times it will play fair
This why He's willing to help you survive
and though forsaken He does care
