That night I went to bed
And the next thing I know
This dream came over me
This dream led me to a tree
A tree that gave life, and its seed
Was made to sustain, but you see
It was not a tree that was made for me
Because Adam and Eve picked from another

And no more would the tree do as it was made
I looked for it and hunted all over the place
But could never see what stood before my face
This truth that I could no longer breathe without
Feeling my lungs filling with blood
Cursed I could no longer move and my entirety cried out for relief.

I looked for an answer to this puzzle called me
But nothing fit in the last hole waiting to be filled
And the more I looked the more the truth became real
I knew that this dream was no reality,
But a lie to keep me from seeing what I really need.

And now I can see what stands in front of me.
I can see the tree that was made to sustain life.
And on that tree I see Jesus, the Christ.
He hangs there in front of me and says “My child be free.”
