What a journey it has been
A journey mixed with laughter and tears
Endured many struggles
But through out the years my testimony is, my God you are good
My God you are faithful
You have kept me to experience the golden years
I have more strands of grey hair now
My sight and hearing is not as sharp
Yet I thank you Lord for your word stored up in my heart
The promise that you will never leave nor forsake me
I thank you for the comfort of your spirit who is always with me

The outer man is sometimes weak but my spirit is being renewed daily
Help me to teach and be an example to those who are younger
Strengthen me to intercede when things are going contrary in my home, neighborhood and nation
For you my God has called me to be a mother in Zion

Help to remember if ever I feel lonely, forgotten, taken for granted or even neglected
That you are here with me
Lead me and guide me, give me wisdom to know when to speak
Holy Spirit bridle my tongue
Give me a word in season and out of season to encourage and build up those around me
Take away fretfulness, hastiness and anxiety from me
Give me more of your grace as am older now
For you my God has called me to be a mother in Zion

Gird me with your strength to face the physical and mental challenges of getting older
Help me not to dwell on the past, but know that you are doing a new thing in me and through me
No matter my age I still need a father
So Abba…
Continue to uphold, shield, guide, direct and protect me
Keep me in loving care, under the shadow of your wings
Isaiah 46:4 “Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you” NIV

You spoke these words to the house of Jacob and the remnant of Israel I know you say the same to me
Because you do not change… you are faithful
