The older we get the more we need a sense of humor, because the older we get the more we need to laugh, even if only for physical and emotional reasons. Also the older we get the more we HAVE to laugh, if we still can, otherwise we would cry, and the two are much closer than we realize. But if we laughed more we would find that we need to cry less. A sense of humor is one of the powerful antidotes for the aging process as it progresses further and further. Old age can be so brutal that it requires more than one antidote. In fact, it requires a whole arsenal of antidotes, but a sense of humor surely is one that helps to lead the way.
