Supernatural Suspension

We all know, life has many rough moments. A brother in Christ and a good friend, recently had God speak into his life as he rambled down his bumpy road in life. This is the message of hope God gave him, for his own life, and for anyone who will listen. It is written from his perspective, based on a text message he sent and an ensuing conversation. He chose the title and approved this article.

Supernatural Suspension

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." John 16:33 NLT

I have been experiencing some rough times in my own life, but I have some great friends and family that I have allowed into my life. I can always speak to them honestly, they listen and make life much better. I was texting a friend and telling him how I was praying and hoping that my friends and family would be able to find peace when their life is rough. Then, in a moment's notice, as I was typing that text, God spoke directly into my life, out of nowhere.

He revealed to me that His presence, our faith, and especially the loved ones He puts in our lives, are shock absorbers for our life. Life's road is guaranteed to be bumpy at times, no matter who we are, or how much we have in this world. If we believe that God has us in His "arms" and let the people we trust, who care about us and love us, into our life, they become our shock absorbers. Like an awesome off-road suspension for the rough roads of life!

However, if we reject the faith and believe that God and people cannot help us, choosing to go it all alone, life will be a much rougher ride. Driving all alone through life on its bumpy and potholed roads is like driving a Yugo with worn-out shocks, nothing to help us bounce back after the potholes. Eventually, the suspension itself becomes damaged, and life shakes us into pieces.

This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. John 15:12 NLT

Recognizing that we do not need to do life alone, and then letting God all in, along with the people He has placed in our life, is the first step. It is like taking our truck into the shop to have a big bad suspension and giant off-road tires put on so we can navigate life's rough spots with more ease. This God intended "supernatural suspension" will help protect us from rust, occasional huge potholes and the potential breakdowns on our path.

So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. 1 Thess 5:11 NLT

In my mind's eye right now, I can see God as the owner of the biggest and baddest off-road shop in the universe. All anyone needs to do is to believe, and they can bring their vehicle into His shop. He will equip them and reveal the loved ones we can trust so we can handle anything on life's path. It's funny, I can see them now, God and Jesus with huge smiles on their faces and big cool guy beards, 10ft tall, and looking badass tough as they wave vehicles into their giant shop with work bays as far as the eye can see. I have pulled in already, and they are installing a heavy-duty suspension, big shocks and springs and giant off-road tires, all paid for by those who love me!

He is waving you into a bay right now. We all need people in our lives to love us, to be our shock absorbers. Who has God placed in your life that is a perfect fit for the vehicle you are driving? Let's love one another as He has loved us.

And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Heb 10:25 NLT

Many more New Covenant Bible Studies HERE. Jesus poured out His blood for the New Covenant of grace and truth, replacing the Old Covenant law of Moses. Believers are exclusively under the New Covenant, the last will and testament of Jesus that began after the cross.

And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood. Luke 22:20
