    With the rise of Islam in American society--especially in the field of politics--there has long been a need for an easy-to-understand book capturing the particulars of the Muslim faith AND its impact on world--and ESPECIALLY U.S. history.  Entering to answer the challenge is William J. Federer with his work: “What Every American Needs To Know About the Qur’an:  A History Of Islam & The United States” (2007, 2018, 325 pages, Amerisearch, Inc.).

    Federer’s book is a fast-paced page turner on the basics of Islam; its resurgence into the headlines via the political arena, some of the ‘clashes’ between the Qur’an and the U.S. Constitution…and this is just contained within the opening pages and sections.    “What Every American Needs To Know About the Qur’an:  A History Of Islam & The United States”, is also a firm reference work that the serious bible student can use in apologetics and witnessing.  Much of the work centers upon easy-to-read and follow ‘snapshots’ of world events over the course of time, both on the international scene and when such events impacted American foreign policy and domestic politics.

    If you have seen the TCT Network’s daily broadcast “Faith In History”, you are no stranger to Federer’s work and meticulous handling of history.  He excels at how the Christian faith has made a solid impact upon world events.  This book is made more fascinating by the inclusion of what famous historical figures have had to say and document about Islam in their day.  

    After reading this work, one would be at a serious loss to say that they didn’t have a better understanding of the dangers of Islam, and how it has been making and weaving its way through history on a variety of fronts, using a variety of tactics--which Federer is very happy to bring into the public view.
