How Long Will It Take?

During those days another large crowd gathered. Since they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. If I send them home hungry, they will collapse on the way, because some of them have come a long distance.” His disciples answered, “But where in this remote place can anyone get enough bread to feed them?” Mark 8:1-4 NIV

How long was it going to take the disciples to understand that no situation was too difficult for Jesus? I don’t think they truly recognized it until His resurrection.

So, today, how long will it take us to realize that there is no situation which we face that the Lord cannot resolve for us? Often, we want to just give up instead of turning it over to Jesus. Sure, we may not get the result we hope for, but with Jesus we will be taken care of. The answer He provides is that which we really need. Or, do you really believe that you know what is better for you than does Jesus? We lack the faith which we need. We must learn more to trust in the Lord for the answer to our issues. Yes, we do need to think and take action, but we need to do so in Christ. Believe in Him and what He can do for you, and watch your faith grow.
