Whoever heard of someone lighting a lamp and then covering it up to keep it from shining?  No, lamps are mounted in the open where they can be seen-Luke 8:16 TLB

What type of Christian are you?  Do people know that you’re a Christian and have made Jesus your personal Lord and savior?  Or are they unaware of your beliefs?

Before you answer, let's take a deeper look at what the expression low-profile actually means.  According to Answers.com, the term low-profile is defined as behavior carried out with deliberate restraint or modesty so as not to attract attention.  In other words, someone who is undercover or keeping things on the down low in the way they conduct their lives.  So again, I say what type of Christian are you.

Being a Christian, believer or follower of Christ doesn’t mean that you shout out that you’re a child of the most high to everyone you meet.  It does however, mean that your life and the way that you live it should be evident that Christ is your Lord and Savior.  Matthew 5:14 & 16 tells us that we are light for the world and that our light should bring (through our deeds and morals, of course) glory and honor to our Father in heaven.  Since we're charged with this task, let’s never allow the term low-profile type of Christian to be affiliated with our names.

“If a man cannot be a Christian in the place where he is, he cannot be a Christian anywhere.”-Henry Ward Beecher

Our lives definitely need to reflect that we are Christians. Thanks for the share. God bless you!

Amen! Praise the Lord for His having shared with our unworthy selves His infallible, transcendent truth, and for such servants, as the author, when they should be faithful to speak it! The world will recognize us as authentic believers by our love for one another, and no less so than by the love we demonstrate for those of the world in our daily associations and transactions; no one being capable of displaying love save for those who have the love of Christ within them: the rarest and most glorious manifestation on this vast expanse of earth. Owe no man anything but love--love which can only abound in the truth and has in it no failing of falsehood or deception, such as the world's perverted version of the term they've commandeered has.

The opinions expressed by authors do not necessarily reflect the opinion of FaithWriters.com. This is especially true with articles that deal with personal healthcare and prophecy. We encourage the reader to make their own decision in consultation with God, His Word, and others as needed.
